Where are you on your Balboa journey?
Ready to explore, having fun with the fundamentals?
You are looking for an adventure, exploring musicality, enhancing technique, as well as discovering new moves and stylings.
You will be confident in intermediate and above level workshops, having danced Balboa regularly for at least 2 years. You will be able to confidently lead/follow a wide range of moves on the social dance floor, including throw outs from many different positions, out and ins, lollies, swivels, Texas Tommy. You will be comfortable social dancing to a wide range of tempos, totally in your stride at 220 bpm, adding spice with your own variations…
You are now beginning to build your own path, seeking out new and innovative movement and stylings.
This stream will be less oriented towards moves, variations and instructor-led musicality. Instead, classes will more likely focus on flow, musical connection, and developing your own individual style. Partner conversation is likely to include tools to help leads to listen and be inspired by the follow, and to help follows find their voice as an active partner in the dance.
This stream will require an experience-check at the start of the first class.

Friday
Check-in at the hotel is from 3pm, but you are welcome to arrive before this and chat to other early arrivals in the hotel bar
We will be checking people in to the weekend from about 2pm.
The weekend will start with dinner at 6:30pm.

8:30pm until midnight
Saturday and Sunday workshops
Classes will run between about 9:30am and 5pm but check your schedule (download links will be available nearer the time)

Sunday Farewell Dance
The weekend will end with a farewell dance from around 4:45 until 6pm
